Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) is similar to rubber. Rubber is a thermoset, meaning all the chains of molecules are interconnected creating a large macromolecule. This improves the recovery of the material which is why rubber keeps its shape. TPE, instead, has the molecular chains tied together without the interconnects. This provides properties similar to rubber, but makes it RECYCLABLE / REUSABLE unlike rubber
